Yesterday for Homelessness Week, the Shoalhaven Homelessness Interagency showed us how collaboration is done and why it is so important. All of the homelessness agencies got together for a Housing Ends Homelessness Bus Tour across their sites, providing insights to the compassionate work they all do for people experiencing homelessness across the region, supporting youth, supporting men, supporting families, supporting single women including those escaping domestic abuse, supporting women connected with the criminal justice system or leaving incarceration and rehabilitation, supporting chronic homelessness, supporting rough sleepers, supporting the most vulnerable people in need of safe beds, care and support.

Special thanks to the Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services (as well as the Local MP for Kiama) Gareth Ward for coming along and pledging support, as well as all the Councillors that attended, Assistant Deputy Mayor, General Manager and staff from the Shoalhaven City CouncilHMAS Albatross, the lovely ladies of Zonta Club of Berry NSW, Commonwealth Bank Nowra and Department of Communities and Justice.
